Kayleigh: 12 Months

This Month's Highlights:

* Lots of talking and singing (I think you like the radio!)

* Tried (and enjoyed!) lots of table foods!  A fan of steak patties, steak fingers, enchiladas, and more

* Started wearing ponytails and pigtails (4/30)

* Slept in until 10:00am (5/2)
* Went shoe shopping with GB (5/2)
* Started roaring like a lion (5/3)
* Muffins with Mom at school (5/8)
* Flew home for Papaw's funeral (5/8-5/12)
* Spent Mothers Day at GB & Macs house (5/10)
* One year pictures (not such a happy baby) (5/17)
* Got a "big girl cup" with no handles (5/18)
* Started walking behind your walker (5/22)
* Copycat gigglebox (5/23)
* First birthday party with family (5/23)

Mommy's Favorite Moments:

*Wathcing you sleep with your butt up in the air (how is that comfortable?)

* You talking to me in the mornings as I get you ready and on the way to school (favorite word is "da?")

* Picking you up from school and seeing you get so excited

* Watching you try new foods (especially a cupcake!)

* Watching you get kisses from Dada (his beard tickles!)

* Watching you crawl and pull up on everything (so proud of yourself!)

* Having you crawl to find me and get excited when you do

* Rocking you if you sit still long enough! 

Stats:

* Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz (at 5/28 doctor appointment)
* Length: 29"
* Eating: 5-6 oz. every 4 hours (usually wake up at least once at night to eat)
* Diapers: Size 3
* Clothes: mostly 12 month onesies, pants, and outfits
* Favorites: standing, dancing, talking, crawling with things in your hands, getting kisses on your neck, saying 'ma' to blow a bubble, drinking out of your sippy cup, trying to blow your nose (such a cute scrunced up face), clapping, patting your head, eating teddy grahams
* Least favorites: pedicures (it tickles!), manicures (too busy to sit still), having your nose cleared, being put down if everyone else is standing
* Skills: mimicking sounds, clapping, drinking out of big girl cups, pulling up and standing, crawling everywhere, making kissy noises, taking toys out of boxes, knocking over stacks
