Kayleigh: 11 Months

This Month's Highlights:

* Lots of talking and even some singing with the radio ("ahhhh!")

* Tried (and enjoyed!) teddy grahams, green beans, sweet potatoes, chicken, turkey, meat, spaghetti

* Did baby yoga as you attempted to crawl (3/28)

* Wore shoes (your jellies) while out and about

* Attended the La Mirada Easter Party our ABF hosts (3/28)

* Started crawling! (4/2)

* Started flipping to your belly and getting up in crawl stance/pulling up in your crib (time to lower it!) (3/29)

* Learned how to move your tongue like a little lizard (3/29)

* Had a mix-up at school and Mom had to pick you up and feed you a bottle (3/30)

* Spent Easter weekend with Grandma Beck & Mac (4/3-4/5)

* Met cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends (4/3-4/5)

* First Easter! (lots of Easter baskets for Miss Kayleigh!) (4/5)

* Discovered the joy of unwrapping a gift, tearing up the paper and going for a ride in the box (4/4)

* Decided you wanted to sit up in the bathtub (and then start standing) (4/7)

* Started sitting up in your crib and waiting for Mom to come get you (4/8)

* Started pulling yourself up (4/9)

* Took pictures in the bluebonnet field (4/11)

* Had Sunday lunch at Grammy & Pop's house (4/12)

* Started saying uh oh - "uh um!" (4/15)

* Had your first babysitter while Dada and I went to Emily's wedding (4/18)

* Went to Portland, Oregon (4/24-4/27)

Mommy's Favorite Moments:

* Watching you pull up from sitting to standing

* You talking to me "a da!"

* Picking you up from school and getting big hugs and kisses

* Seeing you smile and get excited when I come to get you out of your crib

* Rocking you if you sit still long enough

* Adventures in bluebonnets

* Exploring a new state with you

Stats:

* Weight: 16 lbs 2 oz (at 3/2 doctor appointment)
* Length: 28"
* Eating: 5-6 oz. every 4 hours except at night
* Diapers: Size 3
* Clothes: mostly 9 month but some 12 months
* Favorites: being carried or crawling slowly, practicing standing, dancing to music on your activity table, sleeping with your bottom in the air, learning new tricks with toys (how to turn them on, where to put things), saying "ma" to blow bubbles, spinning around in the bathtub, clapping with Mommy, playing peekaboo, snuggling with your burp cloths
* Least favorites: pedicures (it tickles!), manicures (too busy to sit still), having your nose cleared, seeing someone leave the room faster than you can crawl
* Skills: crawling!, standing, dancing (head bob), making noises with your mouth (clicks, kisses, etc.), knocking everything over, taking everything out of it's normal place
