Kayleigh: 10 Months

This Month's Highlights:

* Lots of talking ("ba ba ba," "ma ma," "da da"), and clicking your tongue

* Tried (and enjoyed!) muffins, macaroni, crackers, goldfish, fries, chicken, bread, pancakes, strawberries, peas (whole), lasagna (loved!)

* Learned how to tear-up catalogs (3/1)

* Had 9-month doctor's visit (3/2)

* Stayed home with Mom & Dad on the snow day (3/5)

* Touched snow (not a fan - too cold, and too bright!) (3/5)

* Started lunging over the armrest of chairs (3/5)

* Had a dinner date with Mom & Dad and sat in the high chair (3/6)

* Clowned around a bit in Mom's old Halloween costume (3/6)

* Started exploring your elephant pop up ball toy (so fun!) (3/7)
* Worked a LOT on your crawl stance and started reverse crawling & spider crawling
* Had a FaceTime dinner date with Dad while he was out of town (3/9)
* Slept through the night for the first time (3/11)
* Found your shadow and kept waving (3/13)
* Had birthday brunch with the Faircloths (3/14)
* Tried Canes (you kept trying to steal my dinner so I had to share!) (3/17)
* Started pulling up on low/sturdy things (3/20)
* FaceTimed with Dad before bed (only hung up on him 3 times!) (3/24)
* Started clapping your hands (3/26)

Mommy's Favorite Moments:

* Watching you stretch every morning (such a big little person!)

* You talking to me in the mornings as I get you ready and on the way to school (favorite word is "da da")

* Picking you up from school and getting big hugs and kisses

* Being able to share more table foods with you

* Making you smile and giggle (love those toofers!)

* Seeing you smile and get excited when I come to get you out of your crib

* Watching you use your sippy cup

* Clapping your hands/getting excited with you

* Rocking you when you let me

Stats:

* Weight: 16 lbs 2 oz (at 3/2 doctor appointment)
* Length: 28"
* Eating: 5-6 oz. every 4 hours (usually waking twice at night)
* Diapers: Size 3
* Clothes: 9 month onesies and pants
* Favorites: being carried, practicing standing, bouncing/dancing, sleeping on your belly or however you get comfortable,  clapping your hands, drinking out of your sippy cup; making new noises (you're so proud of yourself), sticking out your tongue, blowing bubbles, splashing in the bathtub, giggling at Mommy & Daddy's funny faces, playing peekaboo - especially in the car, trying table foods
* Least favorites: pedicures (it tickles!), manicures (too busy to sit still), having your nose cleared, seeing someone leave the room or be too far from you, having something taken away (i.e. Mama's phone)
* Skills: mimicking sounds, standing and leaning on something, throwing yourself over arm rests, clicking your tongue, making bubbles by saying "ma"

Kayleigh: 9 Months

This Month's Highlights:

* Lots of talking ("ba ba ba," "ma ma," "da da"), and clicking your tongue

* Tried (and enjoyed!) baby cookies, bananas (you ate a whole one!), strawberries, and crunchies.  Not a fan of avocado - yuck!)

* Started "flying" with Daddy (1/30) 

* Your second tooth popped through!  (bottom left) (first week of February)

* Went to the park with some small group friends, and had your first swing ride. (2/7)

* Had your first bubble bath (2/7)

* Went on a road-trip to College Station and stayed at Uncle Rhino & Aunt Micah's house (2/13-2/15)

* Became a pro at using your sippy cup (bottoms up!) (2/23)

* Stayed home with Mom & Dad during the ice days (2/23-2/25)

Mommy's Favorite Moments:

* Watching you stretch every morning (such a big little person!)

* You talking to me in the mornings as I get you ready and on the way to school (favorite word is "da da")

* Picking you up from school and getting big hugs and kisses

* Watching you try new foods (avocados, berries, crunchy puffs)

* Your smile that seems to get bigger every day (such a happy baby - everyone says so!)

* Watching you play and fly with Daddy (you sure do love him!)

* Seeing you smile and get excited when I come to get you out of your crib

* Watching you entertain yourself in your crib/on your mat just talking up a storm and trying to eat your paci

* Rocking you; you seem to be getting better at falling asleep on your own, so I especially cherish our rocking moments

* Weight: 15 lbs 10 oz (at 1/21 doctor appointment)
* Length: 25.2"
* Eating: 5-6 oz. every 4 hours (even at night)
* Diapers: Size 2
* Clothes: mostly 9 month onesies, all 9 month pants (you've got some long legs!)
* Favorites: being carried, practicing standing, bouncing/dancing, sleeping on your side,  Rufus the dog on your car seat, getting kisses on your neck or belly, your teachers at school, making new noises (you're so proud of yourself), sticking out your tongue, blowing bubbles, eating your paci like a lollipop, splashing in the bathtub, giggling at Mommy & Daddy's funny faces, helping Mommy clap; eating the tags on ANYTHING, playing peekaboo, eating puffs and crunchies
* Least favorites: pedicures (it tickles!), manicures (too busy to sit still), having your nose cleared, seeing someone leave the room
* Skills: mimicking sounds, bouncing like a champ, standing and leaning on something, propping up on all fours and 'revving your engine', clicking your tongue
