After much deliberation, and coaching from my fellow blogger friends, I have decided to start a blog! My main concern was that I did not want to have my thoughts/stories/pictures out on the web for just ANYBODY to see. Once I learned that I could customize who would be able to see the blog, it was settled.
First - what should it be called? I knew I wanted to do a play off of the 'H' in 'Hanks,' but 'Home' was already widely used. I actually sought out the help of Colin on this one, and creative guy that he is, he led me down the path of Helping of Hanks. So, stop by and get A Helping of The Hanks every once in a while!
Next, I just had to find a good template - and the time - to actually get one started. While I would say that creating a blog is "user friendly" (for the most part), it does take some dedicated time - perfect for a Sunday afternoon - to get the blog to look just the way you want it.
Lastly - what to talk about? My conclusion is - whatever I feel like! So, stay tuned!
